Jo Kyo Nim (First Degree Black Belt)
Harlan L. Thompson, Jo Kyo is the head instructor at Kuk Sool Won of Dallas. Harlan Jo Kyo Nim started his Kuk Sool Won at Kuk Sool Won of Cibolo Creek, in Schertz Texas. In May of 1998, he moved to Dallas, Texas.
In August of 1998 he earned his First Degree Black Belt. In the months between his relocation to Dallas and his promotion, Harlan Jo Kyo searched for a Kuk Sool Won dojahng in the Dallas Metroplex. When he couldn't find one, he decided to open his own club.
In 1999, he opened Kuk Sool Won of Irving, and three months later, was asked by the YWCA to teach at his current location. Harlan Jo Kyo's mission is to introduce Kuk Sool Won to the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Harlan Jo Kyo is in the process of testing for his second degree black belt. He is studying under Dewayne Perry Sa Bum Nim, in South Austin, Texas
